Background
Gallup-McKinley County Schools (GMCS) is seeking to establish an indefinite quantity, multi-term contract for paving services. The goal of this contract is to provide turnkey pavement sealing and paving services, including base, asphalt, and minor elevation work. This solicitation aims to ensure that GMCS can maintain and improve its facilities effectively.
Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following services:
1. Base course on playgrounds, parking areas, storage areas, and roads; 4 inches compacted to 95%, with 2 inches of asphalt and minor elevation work included (5,000 SQ YD).
2. 1 inch overlay Plant Mix Bituminous Pavement (PMBP) including preparation of existing asphalt and patching minor potholes (2,000 SQ YD).
3. Same as Item No. 2 but with a 2-inch overlay (2,000 SQ YD).
4. Additional base course similar to Item No. 1 (1,000 SQ YD).
5. Pavement milling at a depth of 1 inch (500 SQ YD).
6. Liquid pavement sealing with one coat (5,000 SQ YD).
7. PMBP to be picked up at the plant by GMCS (10 TON).
8. Excavation of soil or base course (10 CU YD).
9. Mileage cost for one-way travel to areas outside the City of Gallup Corporate Limits (100 Miles).
Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will commence upon award and continue until June 30, 2026, with options for renewal for three additional one-year periods.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed primarily within Gallup-McKinley County Schools' facilities located in Gallup, New Mexico, and surrounding areas as specified.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide evidence of a satisfactory record of performance and integrity. They are required to have a valid Contractor’s License issued by the Construction Industries Division in New Mexico for the type of work being bid on.
A Certificate of Insurance naming GMCS as additional insured must be provided upon contract award.
Bidders must also comply with all applicable Federal, State, and Local Codes and obtain necessary permits.
