Medical Services for Detention Center Operations

Background
Doña Ana County is seeking emergency procurement of medical services for its Detention Center. The current contract with CHS TX, Inc dba YesCare is set to expire on June 30, 2024, and cannot be renewed.

The emergency procurement is necessary to ensure the health and safety of inmates and staff at the facility located at 1850 Cooper Loop, Las Cruces, NM 88005. This request follows the guidelines set forth in Section 13-1-127 regarding emergency procurements due to immediate needs arising from serious threats to public health and safety.

Work Details
The contract involves extending medical services provided by CHS TX, Inc for an additional two months to allow time for finalizing a new agreement under RFP 24-0033.

The services must be provided by a licensed medical services provider and are essential for the ongoing health care needs of inmates at the detention center. The previous solicitation process evaluated proposals from CHS TX Inc and Roadrunner Health Services, with CHS TX Inc receiving a higher score (2,744) compared to Roadrunner Health Services (2,175).

Period of Performance
The extension will cover a period of two months beyond the current contract expiration date of June 30, 2024.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Doña Ana County Detention Center located at 1850 Cooper Loop, Las Cruces, NM 88005.
