Gateway Center Security Guard Services

Background
The City of Albuquerque owns the Gateway Center, formerly Lovelace Hospital, located at 5400 Gibson Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108. The facility is currently occupied by tenant organizations and four homeless-related programs aimed at providing individuals access to long-term services to reduce street homelessness. The City seeks proposals from qualified Offerors for unarmed uniformed security guard services and patrols for its facilities.

Work Details
The successful Offeror shall provide security guard services including:

- Guarding premises, lobby, and parking lots against trespassing, vandalism, sabotage, fire, theft, and destruction.
- Averting disorderly conduct.
- Summoning law enforcement when necessary.
- Reporting damage or hazards.
- Maintaining a visible presence.
- Monitoring public access points.
- Conducting patrols.
- Enforcing facility rules.
- Providing information to visitors.
- Ensuring safety during special events.

Security guards must not carry weapons or apprehend individuals committing crimes but must report violations to law enforcement. Guards are required to have New Mexico certification levels one and two.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to have a term of one (1) year with possible extensions of three (3) additional one (1) year terms.

Services will be performed at the Gateway Center located at 5400 Gibson Blvd SE, Albuquerque, NM 87108.

Bidder Requirements
Offerors must ensure that all security personnel possess valid New Mexico security guard licenses. The successful Offeror must provide all necessary support staff and equipment at no additional cost to the City. Compliance with insurance requirements is mandatory, including general liability insurance with specified coverage limits.
