Engineering Design and Construction Management Services for Project Completion

Background
The City of Aztec is seeking to continue its partnership with CHC Engineers, LLC for engineering design and construction management services related to the McWilliams Road Improvement Project. The goal of this contract is to ensure the successful completion of the project, which has undergone various design changes over the past fiscal years.

The recommendation for a sole source procurement is based on the unique capabilities and historical knowledge that CHC Engineers possesses regarding the underground utilities in the area, which are critical for the water system's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide ongoing engineering design and construction management services for the McWilliams Road Improvement Project. Specific tasks include:
- FY2022: Initial design of a chipseal type roadway improvement project.
- FY2023: Re-design to an asphalt paved type roadway improvement and storm drain remediation wall.
- FY2024: Re-design to include a new sidewalk section and summary plats.

The total cost estimate for these services is $68,000.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed continuously until the completion of the project, with specific tasks outlined for each fiscal year (FY2022, FY2023, FY2024).
