T1136 - Lawn Maintenance Services: Capital Complex, Glen Gardner, Paramus, and West Trenton

Background
The State of New Jersey, through its Department of the Treasury and Division of Property Management & Construction, is issuing this Bid Solicitation for Lawn Maintenance Services. The goal is to procure turf management and maintenance services, including chemical turf treatment, primarily for the Capital Complex, Glen Gardner, Paramus, and West Trenton locations.

This solicitation is a reprocurement of existing services and aims to award contracts to responsible bidders whose quotes are most advantageous to the State.

Work Details
The contractor will provide lawn maintenance and turf treatment services across five groups of locations with a total of 92 price lines. The services include:

1) Cutting Services - performed weekly with specific trimming and clean-up requirements;
2) Turf Treatment - including applications of lime, pre-emergent crabgrass control, post-emergent broadleaf herbicides, and fertilizers;
3) Soil Analysis & Testing - mandatory soil testing before chemical applications;
4) Weed Control Treatment - pre-emergent and defoliate spot treatments;
5) Control of Storm Water Pollution - utilizing environmentally friendly products.

Each group has specific locations and estimated acreage that must be serviced. The contractor must supply all necessary labor, supervision, chemicals, materials, and equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to begin on or about March 1 each year and continue through approximately November 30 for a total duration of eight months each year. Services will include up to thirty-three cuts during this period.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations in New Jersey including the Capital Complex in Trenton, Glen Gardner, Paramus Veteran’s Memorial Home in Paramus, Bridgeton Office Building in Bridgeton, and West Trenton Complex.
