Sidewalk/Curb Installation 2025 Prospect Area Infrastructure

Background
The Township of Franklin, located in Somerset County, New Jersey, is seeking bids for the installation of sidewalks and curbs as part of the 2025 Prospect Area Infrastructure project. The goal of this contract is to enhance public infrastructure and ensure safe pedestrian access throughout the township. The project is identified under contract number B25-010-ENG.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the installation of sidewalks and curbs in designated areas within the Prospect Area. Specific tasks include:

1. Excavation and preparation of the site for sidewalk and curb installation.
2. Installation of concrete sidewalks, including necessary reinforcement and finishing work.
3. Installation of curbs to delineate pedestrian pathways from roadways.
4. Compliance with all local codes and regulations regarding construction practices and materials used.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Notice to Proceed and is expected to be completed within 60 days.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in designated areas within the Township of Franklin, Somerset County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond amounting to 10% of the total price bid (not exceeding $20,000) along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) from an authorized Surety Company that guarantees performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract value. Bidders must also comply with N.J.S.A 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq., which includes affirmative action requirements.
