Plantwide Hydroblasting Services On An As Needed Basis For A Two (2) Year Period

Background
The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) is issuing Contract No. B494 for Plantwide Hydroblasting Services on an as-needed basis for a two-year period. The mission of the PVSC is to protect public health and the environment through effective wastewater management. This contract aims to provide hydroblasting services that will assist in maintaining the operational efficiency of the PVSC facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide high pressure and ultra high pressure waterjetting and flushing (hydroblasting services) as required by PVSC. The services include, but are not limited to: removing hard scale build-up inside pipes and fittings (ranging from approximately 4” to 42” in diameter), cleaning piping, heat exchangers, vessels, tank floors and walls, various process equipment, and emergency services as instructed by the owner/Engineer.

The work is indeterminate with no fixed contract amount; individual task orders will be issued based on an agreed-upon detailed scope of work. Each task order will establish a 'Not to Exceed' cost limit based on labor rates provided in Section 00400.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a two-year period starting from the Notice to Proceed date.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various PVSC facilities located in Newark, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have experience in hydroblasting services within sewerage treatment plants or similar facilities. They are required to submit proof of business registration and must comply with affirmative action requirements as outlined in N.J.S.A. 10:5-31.

Additionally, bidders must provide a certified check or bid bond of $1,000 or 10% of the total bid (not exceeding $20,000) with their proposal. All contractors must also maintain liability insurance as specified in Section 00727.
