Physical Therapy Services for Inmates

Background
The County of Bergen, NJ, is seeking qualified firms to provide on-site physical therapy services for inmates at the Bergen County Jail located in Hackensack, NJ. This initiative aims to ensure that inmates receive necessary physical therapy care as part of their rehabilitation process. The County emphasizes the importance of high-quality service delivery and compliance with relevant regulations.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide the following services:
- On-site physical therapy services for inmates, including evaluations and treatment plans.
- Services must be provided on an 'on-call' basis, averaging once per week.
- All materials and equipment used must be provided by the contractor and cannot be brought into the jail from outside.
- The contractor must have a current New Jersey License to Practice Physical Therapy and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Multi-year experience providing physical therapy services in a county jail setting is required.
- Participation in an orthopedic hospital rehabilitation network is preferred.
- Evidence of Professional Liability Coverage and Workers Compensation Coverage must be provided.

Period of Performance
The contract will be valid for one (1) year from the date of award.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet the following requirements:
- Current NJ License to Practice Physical Therapy.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Multi-year experience providing physical therapy services onsite in a county jail.
- NJ Business Registration Certificate and Statement of Ownership Disclosure (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2).
- Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN).
- Evidence of Professional Liability Coverage and Workers Compensation Coverage.
