Notice to Bidders: East Brunswick Public Library HVAC System Replacement Project

Background
The Township of East Brunswick is issuing this contract for the HVAC System Replacement Project at the East Brunswick Public Library. The goal of this project is to replace outdated HVAC systems to ensure efficient climate control and comfort within the library, which serves the community's educational and informational needs.

Work Details
The project consists of the replacement of four (4) multizone rooftop units, including all necessary electrical connections, supports, controls, and ductwork. Additionally, HVAC unit cleaning will be performed for all existing systems that are to remain in the building. The project also includes upgrades to the automatic controls system (ATC), which encompasses all necessary updated licenses, software, and workstation. All existing HVAC equipment will be migrated onto the new ATC system.

Period of Performance
The duration of the contract for the construction of this project shall be twelve (12) months from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Township.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the East Brunswick Public Library located at 2 Jean Walling Civic Center, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must submit a Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey. A Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond is required, amounting to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount but not exceeding $20,000.00. Bidders are also required to comply with New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act provisions and must adhere to N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
