Mtb #26-04 Lawrence Road Water Main Replacement

Background
The Township of Mahwah, located in Bergen County, New Jersey, is issuing a solicitation for the Lawrence Road Water Main Replacement project. The mission of this project is to replace an aging water main infrastructure to ensure reliable water service for the community.

Work Details
The work consists of the construction of approximately 1,310 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main and associated appurtenances on Lawrence Road. This includes the transfer and reconnection of approximately 13 water service lines, pressure testing, disinfection, and other related incidental work as outlined in the Contract Drawings and Specifications.

Period of Performance
All work, excluding final restoration, must be completed within seventy (70) consecutive calendar days from the date of the written notice to proceed. Final restoration work must be completed within one hundred fifty (150) consecutive calendar days from the same notice.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed on Lawrence Road in Mahwah, Bergen County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid amount (not to exceed $20,000). The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond for 100% of the accepted bid amount and provide required insurance policies or Certificates of Insurance. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. regarding equal employment opportunity and Chapter 33 of P.L. 1977 regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders.
