Background
The City of Trenton, through its Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture, is seeking bids for emergency landscaping services for various parks and facilities. This initiative aims to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of public spaces within the city, ensuring they are safe and appealing for community use.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive landscaping services including but not limited to: pruning shrubs, pesticide and herbicide control, fertilization services, turf management, and maintenance of landscape beds. Specific tasks include conducting soil tests for turf management, applying fertilizers and pesticides as per a Turf Action Schedule, maintaining turf in healthy condition year-round, and ensuring landscape beds are free from litter and weeds. The contractor must also provide uniforms for personnel, conduct background checks on employees assigned to city parks, and submit evidence of pesticide licensure as required by New Jersey regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a period of one (1) year with an option to extend for one (1) additional year.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various parks and facilities throughout the City of Trenton.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid Pesticide Applicator Business License and a Certified Pesticide Applicator License. They are also required to submit a Notice of Intent to Subcontract, Statement of Ownership Disclosure, Acknowledgment of Receipt of Addenda, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Business Registration Certificate prior to contract award, and comply with affirmative action regulations. Additionally, bidders must provide references and proof of insurance coverage.
