Electrical Service, Electrical Improvements, And Repair At Various Facilities

Background
The City of Trenton's Department of Public Works, Division of Public Property is seeking bids for electrical services, improvements, and repairs at various facilities within the city. The goal is to ensure that all electrical systems are functioning optimally and to upgrade existing systems as necessary. This contract aims to provide reliable electrical services to support the city's infrastructure and public facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and supplies necessary for:
1) Furnishing and installing electrical services;
2) Changing current lighting to LED;
3) Performing electrical repairs;
4) Inspecting electrical components for diagnosing and repairing systems in city buildings and facilities.

The contractor may also need to provide technical guidance on electrical issues. All work must be scheduled in advance and approved by a City representative. Quotes for services must include employee titles, labor rates, quantities of workers, hours worked, intended use of apprentices or helpers, materials list, and wholesale costs. The city will only pay for authorized materials with a maximum 12% markup.

Period of Performance
The contract is for one (1) year with an option to extend for an additional year.

Various facilities within the City of Trenton.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed electrical contractors with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in electrical service and installations. They must submit a copy of their New Jersey Contractor’s License with their bid proposal. Sub-contracting is not permitted. Bidders are required to comply with New Jersey's prevailing wage laws and submit necessary documentation regarding affirmative action compliance.
