Degnan Park Community Garden And Outdoor Fitness Area Improvements Project

Background
The Township of West Orange, located in Essex County, New Jersey, is issuing a solicitation for the Degnan Park Community Garden and Outdoor Fitness Area Improvements Project. The goal of this project is to enhance community recreational facilities and promote outdoor fitness activities for residents.

Work Details
The Base Bid includes the construction of:
- New permeable paver walkways
- Fencing
- Benches
- Storage shed
- Picnic tables
- Landscaping at the proposed Degnan Park Community Garden.
Additionally, the project will involve the construction of a new Outdoor Fitness Area featuring an artificial turf system. Other improvements include grading enhancements for a grass passive recreation area, a stormwater management system, and utility upgrades.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon award and is scheduled to be completed by March 17, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. They are required to have a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury at the time of bid.
