24/7/365 on Demand Interpretation Services for Police Department

Background
The Township of Franklin, County of Somerset is seeking to procure 24/7/365 on-demand interpretation services for its Police Department. This initiative aims to enhance communication and ensure effective service delivery in law enforcement, particularly in emergency situations where language barriers may exist.

The contract is part of the township's commitment to providing comprehensive public safety services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide on-demand interpretation services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. The service must support a minimum of 240 languages and ensure no wait time for access. The system must be secure from intrusions and demonstrate experience in emergency service/law enforcement translation.

Additionally, the contractor should have at least 20 years of experience in providing such translation services and be willing to accept government Purchase Orders.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award by resolution of the Township Council and will be effective for a term of two years. There is an option to extend the contract for up to two additional one-year terms, contingent upon the approval of the governing body and availability of funds.

Place of Performance
Services will be provided remotely as needed by the Police Department of Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with New Jersey's EEO/Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C. 127) and submit necessary documentation including a Certificate of Employee Information Report or evidence of a federally approved affirmative action program.

Bidders are also required to submit proof of licensure for providing services in New Jersey, maintain appropriate insurance coverage, and comply with all applicable laws including HIPAA regulations.
