2025 Road Paving Program

Background
The Township of Jefferson, located in Morris County, New Jersey, is issuing a solicitation for the 2025 Road Paving Program under Contract No. RDE-25-3. The goal of this contract is to enhance the road infrastructure within the township by providing necessary paving and related services.

Work Details
The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the following tasks:

- HMA Milling, 3" or Less: 70,500 SY
- Roadway Excavation: 50 CY
- Dense Graded Aggregate: 25 CY
- HMA 9.5L64 Surf. Course, 2" Thick: 10,200 TN
- HMA 19L64 Base Course, 4" Thick: 50 TN
- Granite Curb: 150 LF
- Asphalt Curb: 1,400 LF
- 4" Wide Yellow Striping, Spr. Epoxy: 13,400 LF
- 6" Wide White Striping, Spr. Epoxy: 13,400 LF
- 18" Wide White Thermoplastic Stop Bars: 30 LF
- White Traffic Markings Symbols, Thermoplastic: 48 SF
- Construction Signs: 112 SF
- Traffic Cones: 140 UN
- Topsoil, 4" Thick: 250 SY
- Fertilizer & Seed & Straw Mulch: 250 SY
- Tree Removal over various diameters (1” to over 36”): Total of multiple units across different size categories (90 UN for trees over 1” to 6”, up to 1 UN for trees over 30” to 36”).
- Tree Trimming over various diameters (1” to over 36”): Total of multiple units across different size categories (20 UN for trees over 1” to 6”, up to 3 UN for trees over 36”).
- Police Traffic Directors: Total of 256 HR.
Additionally, there are non-bid items including Fuel Price Adjustment and Asphalt Price Adjustment.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to be performed starting from June 4, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be conducted in Jefferson Township, Morris County, New Jersey.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A.10:5-31 et seq. and P.L.1975,c.127 (N.J.A.C.17:27) Affirmative Action Regulations and P.L.1977 Chapter33 Stockholder’s Disclosure Regulations.
Bids must include a Certified Check or Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid (not exceeding $20,000). Additionally, bidders must provide an executed consent on the enclosed Bid Bond and Consent of Surety Forms from an approved surety company licensed in New Jersey.
