The City of Nashua is soliciting letters of interest and qualification statements for the provision of Professional Construction Management Services (hereafter referred to as CM ) services for the preconstruction and construction administration of the Public Works Garage.
Background
The City of Nashua is soliciting letters of interest and qualification statements for the provision of Professional Construction Management Services (CM) for the preconstruction and construction administration of the Public Works Garage.

The Division of Public Works (DPW) consists of various departments that require a new garage facility due to the deteriorating condition of the current DPW garage, which incurs high repair costs. The new facility aims to support operations and maintenance for a fleet of approximately 300 vehicles, enhancing staffing and service efficiencies.

Work Details
The selected CM firm will provide construction management services that include:
- Ensuring the garage meets OSHA compliance and can store CNG and Electric vehicles.
- Designing offices for the Fleet Superintendent and Fleet Foreman, a breakroom for 50 employees, parts room, welding bay, tire bay, and tool room.
- Incorporating charging stations for passenger vehicles and future electric trash trucks.
- Including a standalone truck wash capable of servicing various vehicle types as an optional feature.
- Planning for a salt barn on site and cold covered storage for vehicles not fitting in the garage.
- Considering alternative energy options like electric and solar, including microgrid development.
- Improving site conditions for staff and visitor parking, circulation, drainage, lighting, and landscaping.

The CM firm will also engage in pre-construction services such as reviewing design drawings for constructability, providing cost estimates, producing bid packages, managing subcontractor bids, overseeing construction schedules, ensuring quality control during construction, coordinating with utility companies, managing environmental concerns related to hazardous materials, conducting weekly construction meetings with stakeholders, and preparing final closeout documents.

Period of Performance
The project timeline includes completion of Schematic Design (SD) & Design Development (DD) by June 30, 2025; final design completion by Spring 2026; with construction anticipated to start in Summer 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the City of Nashua's Division of Public Works facilities located at 848 West Hollis Street and other relevant sites within Nashua, NH.
