Newfound Lake Public Boat Access Facility - Installation and...

Background
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department (NHFG) is seeking bids for the installation and extraction of seasonal docks and extension piles at the Newfound Lake Public Boat Access Facility.

The goal of this contract is to facilitate the seasonal management of a floating dock system at Wellington State Park in Bristol, NH, which provides access to Newfound Lake.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Autumn 2025 extraction of three (3) temporary steel extension piles, each approximately 16 feet long and weighing about 600 pounds, from the seasonal dock.
2. Retrieval and deployment of two wood-framed floating dock segments: one measuring 8 feet wide by 22 feet long and another measuring 8 feet wide by 20 feet long, both weighing approximately 4,400 to 4,000 pounds each.
3. Access to the dock segments is via a 30-foot long aluminum gangway.
4. Provision of necessary strapping or cabling for securing dock segments, gangway, and extension piles during retrieval and deployment activities.

NHFG will provide a boat for support during these operations. The contractor is not required to supply a diver. The contractor must ensure protection of all facility infrastructure during project activities and repair any damage that may occur.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled for autumn 2025 for extraction (October 14 to 17) and spring 2026 for installation (April or early May), subject to weather conditions and ice-out on Newfound Lake.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Wellington State Park boat ramp in Bristol, NH, which accesses Newfound Lake.
