Background
The City of Nashua, Division of Public Works, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the long-term management of wastewater biosolids generated at the Nashua Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF), located at 2 Sawmill Road, Nashua, NH. The management of these biosolids must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The City aims to ensure that the biosolids are managed in an environmentally sound manner.

Work Details
The Independent Contractor will be responsible for providing containers for loading and transporting dewatered sludge cake from the WWTF. They must remove approximately 30-32 wet tons of dewatered wastewater biosolids daily during regular operating hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM) and on weekends as necessary. All biosolids must be removed within 24 hours of notification.

The contractor will also handle non-Class B biosolids under emergency conditions and provide alternate pricing for Class A biosolids once upgrades are completed. They must ensure compliance with all relevant laws and maintain necessary permits.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, and terminate on June 30, 2029, with the possibility of three one-year extensions based on satisfactory performance.
