The New Hampshire Department of Administrative Services, through its Division of Procurement and Support Services, is issuing a Request for Bid (RFB) for the supply of License Plate Aluminum.
The purpose of this bid invitation is to establish a contract in the form of a purchase order for supplying the State with aluminum materials that meet specified requirements. This contract is aimed at ensuring the State has access to high-quality aluminum for license plates, which is essential for vehicle registration and identification.
Work Details
The successful vendor will provide License Plate Aluminum that meets the following specifications:
- Alloy – Temper 3105-H22 or H12
- Thickness: .027” + .0015” -.0015”
- Width (Standard Size): 12-1/8” + 1/32” -0
- Ultimate Strength: 17,000 to 23,000 psi
- Minimum Yield Strength: 12,000 psi
- Elongation on 2” Standard Specimen: 16% - 20%, Minimum 12%
Quality must withstand embossing with all steel dies at 3/32” height without breaking or warping. The aluminum must be treated with a non-hexavalent chromium or non-chromium conversion coating and have a backside surface finish treated with a polyester wash coat. Vendors may also propose alternative specifications that include recycled or virgin aluminum options. The total quantity required is 45,000 lbs.
Period of Performance
This is a one-time order with delivery required by March 25, 2026.

Delivery will be made to NH Correctional Industries located at 3 McQuire Street, Concord NH 03301.

Vendors must be duly registered as authorized vendors in the State of New Hampshire and complete a Vendor Application Package prior to bid award. All bids must comply with the specifications outlined in this RFB and any resulting contract. Vendors are required to provide material safety data sheets for all products covered by RSA 277-A, the 'Worker’s Right to Know Act.'
