Background
The City of Nashua is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive audit of the policies, procedures, and protocols of the City’s Human Resources Department. The goal is to ensure that the HR functions are aligned with best practices, industry standards, and comply with federal law and statutory obligations.
Work Details
The selected consultant will conduct a detailed study of the HR Department and provide recommendations for improvements. The scope includes:
1. Acting as a consultant to senior HR leaders;
2. Conducting interviews with HR staff, other department heads, and employees;
3. Reviewing existing hiring practices including outreach, recruitment efforts, application processes, interview processes, verification of credentials, and personnel data maintenance;
4. Assessing disciplinary and termination procedures;
5. Reviewing HR leadership structure and responsibilities;
6. Evaluating technology use in HR practices;
7. Providing additional recommendations as necessary.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as determined during the proposal evaluation process.

The services will be performed at various locations within the City of Nashua, New Hampshire.
