Four Hills Landfill Phave IV Litter Control Fence Extension

Background
The City of Nashua, New Hampshire, through its Division of Public Works, is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the installation of a litter control fence at the Four Hills Landfill property.
The goal of this contract is to enhance litter control measures at the landfill site as part of ongoing environmental management efforts.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for installing approximately 735 linear feet of litter control fence. This includes:
1. Mobilization/Demobilization: Providing all necessary materials and equipment to the site and removing them upon project completion.
2. Removal and Reinstallation of Steel Guardrail System: This involves removing existing guard rails to facilitate the installation of the litter fence and reinstalling them according to NHDOT requirements.
3. Installation of Litter Control Fence: The contractor will install a new litter control fence that matches existing specifications, including providing necessary calculations for wind load and soil bearing capacity.
The materials specified include poles from Coastal Netting Systems and netting from Nettexx.
4. As-Built Survey Plan: An as-built survey plan must be provided upon project completion, stamped by a licensed professional engineer or land surveyor in New Hampshire.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to begin upon issuance of a written 'Notice to Proceed' and must achieve substantial completion by September 25, 2026, with final completion due by October 16, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Four Hills Landfill property located in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least five years of experience with similar projects and provide references. They are required to submit a bid bond equivalent to 5% of the bid price, performance and payment bonds upon award, and certificates of insurance covering general liability ($1 million per occurrence), automobile liability ($1 million combined single limit), and workers' compensation as per New Hampshire statutes.
