Road Improvements to Cornhusker Road (25-14

Background
Sarpy County, Nebraska is seeking qualified contractors to undertake road improvements on Cornhusker Road as part of the Northwest Sarpy Road Network, Project C-77 (25-14).
The project aims to enhance the infrastructure and facilitate better transportation within the region. The Public Works Department is responsible for overseeing this initiative, which is critical for local development and community accessibility.

Work Details
The work includes the removal of the existing gravel surface, vertical profile adjustments, installation of storm sewer pipes and structures, construction of concrete pavement, utility coordination, and temporary traffic control.
Specific tasks include:
1. Mobilization
2. General clearing and grubbing
3. Removal of culvert pipe
4. Excavation
5. Installation of 9" concrete pavement (Class 47B-3500)
6. Concrete driveway installation (6" Class 47B-3500)
7. Installation of storm sewer pipes (18", 24", and 30" Type 1) and flared-end sections
8. Erosion control measures including silt fences and riprap
9. Pavement markings for traffic control
10. Installation of signs and posts as per MUTCD standards.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is set for seventy (70) working days from the agreed start date, with substantial completion of Milestone 1 required by December 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed on Cornhusker Road from 222nd Street to 216th Street in Sarpy County, Nebraska.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond amounting to five percent (5%) of the bid price and a performance bond for 100% of the total bid amount upon contract award.
Contractors must comply with residency verification requirements under Neb. Rev. Stat. §4-108 through §4-114 and use a federal immigration verification system for new employees. Additionally, contractors must have registered as a contractor with the State of Nebraska and obtained necessary licenses.
