Purchase Overhead Fiber Optic Ground Wire

Background
The Lincoln Electric System (LES) is seeking bids for the procurement of overhead fiber optic ground wire (OPGW) to support its mission of providing reliable electric service.
The goal of this contract is to furnish and deliver OPGW that meets specified technical requirements for installation on transmission lines, enhancing communication and operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will provide 11,500 feet of OPGW with 96 fibers, specifically designed with a round aluminum buffer tube housing cable diameter between 0.633 inches and 0.647 inches, conforming to the latest LES specifications.
The OPGW must be delivered on a flatbed trailer and loaded from the side only.
The cable must consist of loose tube buffered flexible glass optical telecommunications fibers contained in a protective central unit surrounded by concentric-lay stranded metallic wires.
It will be used for transmission line relaying and substation communications, installed on structures associated with voltages up to 345kV.
It must meet various standards including ANSI, IEEE, ASTM, ASME, REA, and EIA.
The vendor is responsible for ensuring that the cable is free from defects and complies with all specified performance guarantees.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and will include delivery timelines as specified in the bid submission.

The delivery address for the OPGW is 2620 Fairfield St, Lincoln, NE 68521.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide complete specifications and descriptive materials as part of their bid submission.
They are required to guarantee any new or used equipment against defects for a period stated in their bid.
