North 56th Street Pump Station

Background
The North 56th Street Pump Station project is initiated by the City of Lincoln, specifically the Lincoln Water System. The project aims to construct a pumping station that will enhance the city's water distribution capabilities. This contract is part of the city's ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and ensure reliable water services to its residents.

Work Details
The work involves the construction of a pumping station located at the north end of North 54th Street near Alvo Road in Lincoln, NE. The pump station will include three horizontal split case pumping units with space for one additional future unit, along with associated piping, valves, electrical systems, instrumentation, HVAC equipment, steelwork, buried utilities, and all appurtenant work as indicated in the contract documents.

The contractor must coordinate with Lincoln Electric System for installation of permanent power and with Allo for fiber optic installations. Offsite storage arrangements for materials not incorporated into the work must be approved by the owner.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence on the Work Commencement Date indicated in the Notice to Proceed, which may be issued within thirty (30) days after the effective date of the Contract Agreement. Substantial Completion is expected by December 1, 2027.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at the North 56th Street Pump Station site located at the north end of North 54th Street near Alvo Road in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have experience as a General Contractor with satisfactory completion of a water or wastewater pumping station construction within the last five years with a contract value of at least $3,000,000. Additionally, bidders are required to complete Ebid’s Attribute identifying manufacturers or suppliers for major project equipment or materials.
