Construction of South Haymarket Park

Background
The City of Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department is seeking bids from qualified general contractors for the construction of South Haymarket Park. This park is intended to serve the community of Lincoln, providing amenities for current and future generations. The project aims to enhance public space with various features that promote recreation and community engagement.

Work Details
The construction of South Haymarket Park will include the following amenities:

- Water feature
- Natural playground
- Zip track ride
- Bouldering feature
- Shade sculptures
- Signage
- Walking paths
- Parking areas
- Trail connections
- Dog park
- Passive open space
- Mazzotta Sculpture

The project will be executed in two phases. All inquiries during the bid process must be directed to City/County Purchasing. Substitution requests during the bid process are also included in this requirement.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence upon award and will follow a timeline that includes a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 29, 2025, with bids due by August 19, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at South Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a bid bond or certified check amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid as a guarantee of good faith prior to the bid opening. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required upon award. Bidders must also comply with insurance requirements as detailed in the attached documents.
