Background
The Lincoln Electric System (LES) is seeking bids for the installation of a new impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system at the Terry Bundy Generation Station (TBGS). This project aims to replace the aging galvanic anode cathodic protection system that currently protects the underground piping of the main plant. The contractor will be responsible for all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials necessary for the installation as per the provided specifications and drawings.
Work Details
The contractor must complete the following tasks:
1. Install a new deep-well groundbed and rectifier according to the specifications.
2. Provide all materials as per the Bill of Materials (BOM), including:
- Universal Rectifier: Air Cooled, Standard Rectifier with manual link bar control and silicon stack.
- Mixed Metal Oxide Tubular Anodes: Lida 'ONE' MMO Tubular Anodes by De Nora Tech, dimensions 1-inch by 60-inch.
- Coke Breeze Backfill for vertical anode columns greater than 50 feet deep.
- Vertical Anode Column Vent Pipe and Surface Casing made of Schedule 40 PVC.
- DC Positive and Negative Cables sized #4 AWG with HMWPE insulation.
3. Ensure installation is supervised by an AMPP/NACE CP2 certified technician.
4. Provide all necessary tools, equipment, and labor for installation during working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with after-hours work arranged in advance.
5. Guarantee workmanship with a minimum one-year warranty starting from final completion.
Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed by December 31, 2025.

The work will be performed at Lincoln Electric System’s Terry Bundy Generation Station located in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least three years of verifiable experience installing deep-well cathodic protection groundbeds and must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents. Additionally, bidders are required to furnish a performance bond and labor/material payment bond from a surety licensed to operate in Nebraska.
