Virtual Computer Lab

Background
The North Dakota University System (NDUS), governed by the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education, through its Core Technology Services (CTS), is seeking information on virtual computer lab solutions for higher education institutions.
The goal is to provide remote access to organizational resources and understand the current market and technical capabilities of various virtual platforms to assist with future budget requests.
NDUS serves approximately 45,000 students and 4,000 faculty/staff across its 11 institutions.

Work Details
NDUS aims to identify solutions that can virtualize campus computer labs, providing 24/7 remote access to licensed software/applications for students, faculty, and staff.
The solutions may include:
1) Planning, design, infrastructure deployment, and ongoing operational support for an on-campus solution;
2) A fully hosted solution; or
3) A hybrid solution combining on-campus and cloud-hosted infrastructure.
Respondents are encouraged to provide detailed descriptions of how their products meet these requirements, including cost estimates for acquisition and ongoing costs related to licensing, maintenance, hosting, implementation, integration, data migration, and professional services.

Period of Performance
The RFI was issued on March 27, 2025. Responses should be submitted by May 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The geographic location for the contract performance is primarily within the North Dakota University System's campuses.
