UND Central Foods Mechanical & Electrical Upgrades

Background
The University of North Dakota (UND) is seeking to upgrade the mechanical and electrical systems at the Central Foods facility. This initiative aims to replace outdated HVAC and electrical systems that have surpassed their intended serviceable life, thereby enhancing reliability, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.

Work Details
The project involves replacing HVAC and electrical systems. Specific services include mechanical construction, which is to be performed as a lump sum contract. The work is scheduled to carry an electrician as part of the mechanical construction services. The contractor must ensure that occupancy and life safety systems are maintained throughout the construction process.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence on November 1, 2025, and conclude by May 1, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the University of North Dakota Central Foods/Dining Services located at 3625 Campus Road, Grand Forks, ND 58202.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid North Dakota Contractor's license appropriate for the bid amount. They are required to submit a bid proposal form, a bid bond executed by an authorized surety corporation in an amount not less than 5% of the bid amount, and proof of their contractor's license. Additionally, bidders must provide a certificate from the State Tax Commissioner confirming all taxes due have been paid, a Workers' Compensation Insurance Certificate, and a Certificate of Insurance including North Dakota Stop Gap coverage upon contract execution.
