South Dome Parking Lot Paving

Background
Minot State University is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the paving of the south-side of the north Dome parking lot. The goal of this contract is to mill and pave the parking lot to enhance its usability and safety, aligning with the university's mission to provide quality facilities for its students and staff.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for milling a depth of 4 inches on the south-side of the north Dome parking lot, which measures 190 feet by 220 feet, with cement stabilization. The project includes:

- Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement installation as per North Dakota Department of Transportation specifications.
- Submission of mix designs for approval prior to construction.
- Quality Control (QC) responsibilities including density testing and moisture tests during cement stabilization.
- Compliance with specific paving operations including saw cutting edges, applying tack coats, and ensuring proper drainage.
- Cement stabilization to be performed at a depth of 12 inches with a mix design achieving 6% cement content.
- Traffic and pedestrian control during construction.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from June 3, 2025, to August 22, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Minot State University, located at 500 University Ave W, Minot, ND 58707.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with North Dakota Secretary of State registration requirements prior to contract award. They are also required to provide proof of insurance covering commercial general liability and workers' compensation. A contract bond amounting to five percent (5%) of the bid is also required.
