Cleaning Services at Regional Water Reclamation Facility

Background
The City of Fargo is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide cleaning services for the Water Reclamation Facility located at 3400 North Broadway, Fargo, ND. The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment within the facility, which plays a critical role in the city's water management and reclamation efforts.

Work Details
The vendor will provide cleaning services two days per week for all areas of the facility, which encompasses approximately 6100 sq. ft. Specific tasks include:

- Sweeping and mopping flooring
- Vacuuming area rugs
- Disinfecting surfaces (excluding electronic equipment)
- Dusting window treatments and air vents
- Maintaining hard surface flooring
- Wiping down light switch plates and door knobs
- Spot cleaning glass up to 6 feet high.

Restroom cleaning will occur twice per week and includes disinfecting toilets, cleaning mirrors, sinks, counters, floors, wall partitions, shower areas, and vacuuming ceiling vents. Additional responsibilities include reporting maintenance issues and conducting full window cleaning twice a year (in Fall and Spring). Cleaning must be performed on weekdays between 4:30 PM – 7:00 AM or on weekends. The City will provide certain supplies such as hand soap and garbage liners; however, the vendor must supply all other necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2026, following proposal evaluations and commission approval in December 2025.

The services will be performed at the City of Fargo Water Reclamation Facility located at 3400 North Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must have a minimum of five years of successful professional cleaning service experience with facilities comparable in size. They are required to maintain insurance including Worker’s Compensation and General Liability during the contract term. Vendors must also demonstrate familiarity with third-party certified cleaning products and provide Safety Data Sheets for all products used.
