Bid Notice: Snow Removal Services For Airport Parking Lots

Background
The City of Minot is seeking bids for snow removal services at the Minot International Airport. The airport operates year-round, 24/7, and requires snow removal to ensure operational continuity during inclement weather. This contract aims to maintain accessibility and safety in the airport's parking lots, which include short-term, long-term, car rental, and employee parking areas.

Work Details
The contractor will provide snow removal services including plowing and hauling according to the Minot International Airport Snow and Ice Control Plan. Services must be coordinated with the Airport Operations and Maintenance Manager. Mobilization for snow removal will be based on predetermined snow accumulation levels or upon request from the Airport Operations Manager. The contractor must respond within one hour of a service request. Snow must be cleared around parked and moving vehicles in the parking lots, including designated entrances and exits. Snow will be transported to designated storage areas within the airport premises.

Ice control measures may also be required using a mixture of 30% salt to 70% sand, subject to prior approval from the airport authorities. Bids should reflect pricing per snow event categorized by depth: 2-5.99 inches, 6-11.99 inches, 12-14.99 inches, and 15+ inches.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from November 1, 2024, to approximately May 31, 2025. There is an option for annual extensions through calendar years 2025, 2026, and 2027 if mutually agreed upon by both parties.

The services will be performed at the Minot International Airport located in Minot, North Dakota.
