Willow Lakes Parking Lot Construction Project Invitation for Bids

Background
The Town of Fuquay-Varina is seeking bids for the Willow Lakes Parking Lot Project, which aims to enhance the facilities at Willow Lakes Park. This project is part of the Town's initiative to improve public amenities and ensure compliance with local standards and specifications.

Work Details
The project includes the construction of a new asphalt parking lot, concrete curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, storm drainage improvements, signage, pavement markings, and related grading and site work. Specific tasks include:

- Earthwork
- Grading
- Construction of asphalt pavement (25,600 SF)
- Installation of concrete driveway aprons with curb and gutter (600 SF)
- Concrete sidewalk or sidetrack (3,400 SF)
- ADA detectable warning panels (40 SF)
- Installation of wheel stops (84 units)
- Traffic control measures
- Erosion control

All work must adhere to the Town of Fuquay-Varina standards and specifications as well as the 2024 NCDOT Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures.

Period of Performance
The contract work shall commence upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be fully completed within 35 consecutive calendar days from that date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Willow Lakes Park located in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess the proper license classification to perform the work elements contained in the specifications according to North Carolina General Statutes. A Bid Security is not required for this project. Bidders are encouraged to make a good faith effort to comply with HUB requirements; however, there is no participation goal for this project.
