Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school system in North Carolina and the 15th largest district in the nation. It covers twelve municipalities, 864 square miles, and is comprised of 198 schools, including elementary, middle, high, alternative schools, and leadership academies. WCPSS employs approximately 20,096 personnel, including 10,985 teachers. The district enrolls over 158,000 students from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. The Teacher and School Leader (TSL) Incentive Program operated by the U.S. Department of Education gives WCPSS an opportunity to implement innovative human capital management and performance-based compensation reforms to ensure students have access to high-quality educational opportunities.
Work Details
The vendor's goal is to design a web-based reporting system for Project LEADERS that includes dashboarding, visualizations, tools for identifying talent needs at high-need schools, managing placement of leaders and teachers, tracking educator performance using customizable evaluation models, monitoring program implementation and impact.
The system should produce educator and school-level performance measures, program implementation metrics required by grant guidelines, and other analytics from raw data collection to summative evaluation and reporting.
The vendor will also assess the feasibility of augmenting WCPSS' human capital management system through data-informed matching of educators to high-need schools.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period necessary for the design and implementation of the web-based reporting system for Project LEADERS.
