Wastewater and Drinking Water System Asset Inventory and Assessment Engineering Services

Background
The Town of Tabor City issues this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to secure engineering services for the recently funded Asset Inventory and Assessment Projects related to the City’s wastewater and drinking water system. The Town operates a water and sewer utility serving the city and has been awarded two AIA grants, awaiting execution of grant agreements. The goal is to identify a firm to assist with the completion of the proposed scope of work associated with these grants.

Work Details
The Asset Inventory and Assessment project will include:

- Review and assessment of all infrastructure assets;
- Detailed review of critical assets;
- Field inspections to support condition assessment;
- Mapping of systems;
- Development of a capital improvement plan;
- Recommendations for funding;
- Potential assistance in application submittals; and
- Specific system reviews to be negotiated with the selected firm.

Period of Performance
The project is anticipated to take approximately two years to complete, commencing once a firm is selected, a scope of work is established, and authorization is received from NCDEQ.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in Tabor City, North Carolina.

Bidder Requirements
The Town invites proposals from small, minority, women-owned firms, and historically underutilized businesses. Bidders must demonstrate specialized experience and technical competence in water/wastewater improvements or related work.
