UNCCH - Genetic Medicine Building First Floor Lab Renovation

Background
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-CH) is seeking architectural/engineering services for the renovation of laboratory space on the first floor of the Genetic Medicine Building (GMB). The project aims to accommodate research growth for the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) by expanding the existing lab space and adding up to eleven additional fume hoods. The project does not anticipate any scope related to relocating other users affected by the renovation.

Work Details
This project involves renovating laboratory space on the first floor of the Genetic Medicine Building for the Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC). The renovation includes expanding the existing lab space, adding up to eleven additional fume hoods across the southern half of the floor plate, and making necessary modifications to the building's exhaust system, air valves, and duct risers.
