Supply and Installation of Backflow Preventers

Background
The City of Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking bids for the supply and installation of backflow preventers. This contract aims to ensure the provision of necessary equipment to maintain the city's water safety and compliance with regulations regarding backflow prevention.

Work Details
The contract includes the following items to be supplied and installed:
- 10 units of Lead Free, Reduced Backflow Brass ¾” Backflow Preventer with ball valves, model Wilkins 34-975XL2.
- 30 units of Lead Free, Reduced Pressure Brass 2” Backflow Preventer with ball valves, model Wilkins 2-975XL2.
- 10 units of Repair Kit for RPZ, ¾” Wilkins, model RK34-975XLC.
- 30 units of Repair Kit for RPZ, 2” Wilkins, model RK114-975XLC.

All items must be delivered FOB destination and should include manufacturer details, make/model numbers, warranty length, and anticipated delivery timeframe upon receipt of a City purchase order.

Period of Performance
The contract is for a one-time purchase and installation with bids due by May 23rd, 2025.

Place of Performance
The products will be delivered to the City of Raleigh at the specified address in the procurement documents.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with non-discrimination assurances as per City of Raleigh Ordinance 1969-889. The City encourages participation by certified minority and women-owned businesses (MWBE). Bidders are required to provide references from at least three previous clients for similar goods and services.
