Summer 2026 Interior and Exterior Painting Services for Three Schools

Background
Union County Public Schools (UCPS) is seeking qualified and experienced contractors to provide professional interior and exterior painting services for three schools during the summer of 2026. The goal of this contract is to enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of the school facilities through comprehensive painting services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide professional interior and exterior painting services for three schools: Cuthbertson High School, Cuthbertson Middle School, and Prospect Elementary. The scope includes preparation work such as cleaning, sanding, and priming surfaces; applying paint to walls, ceilings, doors, and trim; ensuring proper ventilation during the painting process; and adhering to safety regulations.

The contractor must also provide all necessary materials including paint, brushes, rollers, drop cloths, and other equipment required for the job.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed during the summer of 2026, with specific timelines to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at three locations within Union County: Cuthbertson High School, Cuthbertson Middle School, and Prospect Elementary School in Monroe, NC.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate good faith efforts to include minority participation in their proposals. A HUB Supplemental Vendor Information form must be completed to support UCPS's Historically Underutilized Business program with a goal of 10% utilization of diverse firms as first or second tier subcontractors.

Additionally, bidders are required to submit an executed cost proposal, E-Verify affidavit, a 5% bid bond, and a contractor’s qualifications statement.
