Student Transportation Services for SCORE Academy Programming

Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the 15th largest in the United States, serving approximately 162,000 students across 203 schools. The agency is seeking vendors to provide transportation services for SCORE Academy students to facilitate their participation in targeted academic and social emotional learning activities during the 2025-2026 school year.

Work Details
Vendors will provide transportation for SCORE Academy students from their residences to four designated SCORE Academy locations: FLEX, River Oaks, Garner Station, and North Raleigh.

Transportation will occur for morning and afternoon cohorts of no more than 10 students each. Specific requirements include:
- Transporting morning cohorts by 8:30 AM and returning them at 11:00 AM;
- Transporting afternoon cohorts by 12:00 PM and returning them at 2:30 PM;
- Providing services from September 2025 through May 2026;
- Ensuring vehicles can accommodate a minimum of ten students without seating any in the front seat;
- Conducting background checks on all drivers;
- Maintaining appropriate insurance coverage as outlined in the solicitation;
- Coordinating with site coordinators for route information.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from September 12, 2025, to June 10, 2026.

Place of Performance
Transportation services will be provided within Wake County, North Carolina, specifically to the four SCORE Academy locations mentioned above.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be licensed to operate in North Carolina and have a minimum of five years of experience in similar services. They must also provide proof of insurance including:
- Commercial General Liability;
- Comprehensive Automobile Liability;
- Workers' Compensation;
- Professional Liability Insurance if applicable;
- Sexual Misconduct Insurance;
- Cyber Liability. Vendors must complete criminal background checks on all employees involved in transportation services and comply with E-Verify regulations.
