Background
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #54-DM-33513 to procure Coated Steel Beams for Henderson County Bridge Maintenance, specifically for upcoming timber bridge replacements. Additionally, all structural steel shop coatings must be inspected and approved by a firm listed on the NCDOT Materials and Test Vendor List. The vendor shall deliver the products Free-On-Board (FOB) Destination to Henderson County Bridge Maintenance at 693 Mountain Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791 within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after receipt of purchase order.
Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to be completed within ninety (90) consecutive calendar days after receipt of the purchase order.
Place of Performance
The delivery location is Henderson County Bridge Maintenance, 693 Mountain Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791.
Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered as a North Carolina vendor in good standing and provide their eVP (Electronic Vendor Portal) number with their bid submission. Vendors are also required to comply with Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the NC General Statutes regarding employee work authorization verification through the federal E-Verify system. Additionally, vendors should aim to meet or exceed a goal of 10% utilization of diverse firms as first or second-tier subcontractors.
