Solid Waste - Debris Hauling Services

Background
The County of Moore, North Carolina, is seeking proposals for Debris Hauling Services for its Solid Waste Division. The intent is to secure a contractor to manage the removal and transportation of shredded yard waste from the Moore County Construction and Demolition Landfill to a permitted compost facility. This initiative aligns with the County's mission to efficiently handle solid waste management.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Removing and hauling shredded yard waste from the Moore County Construction and Demolition Landfill located at 456 Turning Leaf Way, Aberdeen, NC. Quotes are requested for both vendor loading debris and county loading debris.

2. A minimum of 2500 tons must be hauled within the first 30 days of contract execution.

3. Transporting the yard waste to a North Carolina permitted compost facility, with load quantities verified by certified weigh masters using inspected scale tickets.

4. All services must adhere to industry standards and practices.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon execution and will require a minimum of 2500 tons to be hauled within the first 30 days.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Moore County Construction and Demolition Landfill in Aberdeen, NC, with transportation to a North Carolina permitted compost facility.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with E-Verify requirements as per North Carolina General Statute § 143-133.3. Contractors must maintain Workers’ Compensation Insurance for all employees, with minimum coverage including $1,000,000 per occurrence for bodily injury and $100,000 per occurrence for property damage.

Bidders are required to submit a proposal form, non-collusion affidavit, E-verify affidavit, references for similar services, and a W-9 form.
