Sewer Repair & Rehabilitation Bids Union County, NC

Background
Union County, North Carolina, through its Water/Wastewater Operations, is seeking bids for sewer repair and rehabilitation services. This initiative aims to address defects in the sewer system, including manholes and service laterals, while ensuring compliance with municipal, state, and federal regulations.

The contract's goal is to maintain and enhance the integrity of the sewer infrastructure to prevent issues such as inflow and infiltration of groundwater.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
1. Maintenance of flow in existing sewers.
2. Rehabilitation of existing manholes as indicated by the Engineer or ORC.
3. Cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) point repairs to sewer services and/or mains.
4. Pre/post rehabilitation photography/inspection of each manhole/main.
5. Traffic control as approved by the Engineer or ORC based on work location.

Additional tasks include:
- Bypass pumping to manage sewage flow during repairs.
- Restoration of all disturbed areas post-work completion.
- Compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout the project.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year, with potential extensions based on performance and need. Each work order issued under this contract shall not exceed $150,000.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed throughout Union County's Water & Wastewater Operations service area, which includes residential roads, parking lots, NCDOT right-of-way areas, and other locations as determined necessary.
