Background
Hayti Promise Community Development Corporation (Hayti Promise) is a North Carolina non-profit organization founded in 2023. The organization aims to establish an infrastructure that supports community development initiatives.

In May 2024, the Durham City Council approved a $10 million American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant for Hayti Promise to implement the Fayetteville Street Corridor Improvements Project (FSCIP) through December 2026. This grant outlines specific programmatic and organizational development goals that Hayti Promise must achieve, relying on partnerships with experienced service providers.

Work Details
The contract involves providing hands-on youth and adult employment training, service learning, and community engagement programming tailored to the needs of the Fayetteville Street Corridor. Proposers must deliver comprehensive paid service-learning programming, focusing on recruiting local residents for projects that enhance community spaces while fostering skill development and community pride.

The scope of work includes:
1. **Service Learning**: Design and deliver project-based experiences to train over 10 participants in skilled crafts, recruit and supervise participants, provide on-the-job training, align programming with client priorities, commence service delivery by fall 2025, and host regular project status meetings.
2. **Project Delivery**: Facilitate at least three major and three minor service learning projects related to public space management or cultural stewardship, manage resources for participant compensation, adapt project plans based on community needs, and create marketing materials to engage diverse participants.
3. **Community Involvement**: Provide educational opportunities accessible to over 100 community members through workshops and collaborations with local educational institutions.

Period of Performance
The project is expected to commence between June 1 and September 15, 2025, with completion by December 31, 2026.
