Security Camera System Upgrade for Schools

Background
The Edgecombe County Public Schools District is leading a security initiative to enhance the security infrastructure across its schools.
The goal of this project is to upgrade the current coaxial security camera system with new IP cameras and cabling at six designated school sites, ensuring a safe environment for students and staff.
The contract aims to establish a relationship with a qualified vendor who can provide these services at competitive prices.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
- Removal of existing security cameras.
- Installation of 269 cameras (107 indoor, 162 outdoor), including at least 115 multi-sensor cameras.
- Installation of necessary cabling to support the new camera systems.
- Training for school staff on the new systems.

Specifications for the cameras include:
- Minimum 4MP resolution.
- IP67 rating for outdoor cameras to protect against dust and environmental elements.
- IK8 vandal-resistant rating or above.
- Infrared illumination for night visibility.
- Capability to produce video at a minimum of 24 FPS.
- Image stabilization to reduce blurring.
- Day and night viewing and recording capability.
- Standard RJ45 connectivity with Power Over Ethernet (PoE) capability.
- Motion detection features.
- Support for various camera models: bullet, fisheye, dome, mini-dome, multi-sensor.
- Integration with a remotely managed viewing station and support for AES256 encryption standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of 1 year, beginning on the date of contract award (the Effective Date).
The vendor shall begin work within 60 business days of the Effective Date.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at six school sites located in Edgecombe County, North Carolina: Tarboro High, Martin Millennium Academy, Pattillo Middle School, South Edgecombe Middle School, SouthWest Edgecombe High School, and West Edgecombe Middle School.
