Sealed Bids for Custodial Services at Spindale Campus

Background
Isothermal Community College (ICC), located in Spindale, NC, is seeking qualified vendors to provide custodial services for its campus. Founded in 1964, ICC serves Rutherford and Polk counties and is a member of the NC Community College System. The college aims to enhance community life through innovative and affordable educational programs.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is intended to award a contract for custodial services that will maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the campus facilities.

Work Details
The selected vendor will provide custodial services Monday through Friday, with a first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and an optional second shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, excluding holidays. Saturdays may be included based on the vendor's proposed schedule.

The services required include but are not limited to:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Trash removal
- Floor care (sweeping, mopping, waxing)
- Window cleaning
- Maintaining supplies for restrooms and other areas.

Period of Performance
The initial contract term is three years starting from the effective date of the contract. The vendor must commence work within thirty business days of this date. The college has the option to renew the contract for one additional year at its discretion.

Place of Performance
The custodial services will be performed at Isothermal Community College's Spindale Campus located at 286 ICC Loop Rd., Spindale, NC 28160.
