Roofing Inspections, Maintenance, and Repairs for North Carolina Zoo

Background
The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, on behalf of the North Carolina Zoo, is seeking a qualified Vendor to provide roofing inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs for the Zoo. The Zoo spans over 500 developed acres and includes numerous buildings that require ongoing maintenance and repairs. The goal of this contract is to enhance the efficiency of maintaining these assets through a dedicated service contract.

Work Details
The Vendor will be responsible for conducting roofing inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and executing necessary repairs on the roofs of various buildings within the North Carolina Zoo. This includes assessing the condition of existing roofing systems, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure the integrity and longevity of the roofs.

The scope may also involve coordinating with Zoo staff to schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption to operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a term of three (3) years starting from the date of final contract execution. There is an option for the State to extend the contract beyond this initial term if deemed necessary.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the North Carolina Zoo located at 3733 Old Cox Road, Asheboro, NC 27205.
