RFP for Soil and Stone Hauling Services at Ann Street Landfill

Background
The Cumberland County Ann Street Landfill requires borrow material for the construction of access roads.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals for soil and stone hauling services to deliver select fill soils and surge stone to the landfill site located at 698 Ann Street.

Work Details
The selected vendor will be responsible for:
- Delivering approximately 7,500 cubic yards (cy) of select fill soils to the landfill.
- Providing approximately 300 tons of Surge Stone NCDOT Std Size 4.
- The contractor must procure the soil from a designated borrow source, which must be identified in the proposal. If the borrow source changes, the contractor must notify the owner before hauling any material.
- The contractor is required to produce tickets from the source for each load of soil delivered.
- The contractor must be equipped and ready to initiate hauling services immediately and cannot sublet or assign this contract without written authorization from Cumberland County.
- Prior notification to Solid Waste Operations is required before bringing loads.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of 180 days, starting from the date of contract award, with work expected to begin within five business days after the effective date.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Ann Street Landfill, located at 698 Ann Street, Fayetteville, NC.
