Reseller Opportunity: Microsoft Software Products

Background
The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish an authorized Microsoft Value Added Reseller (VAR) for procurement of Microsoft Volume Licensing Software (MVLS). This MVLS will be purchased through the Microsoft Framework; specifically, Campus and School Agreement entered into by The University of North Carolina and Microsoft Licensing, GP. Products and services will be provided according to the terms and conditions of this IFB, The Microsoft Campus and School Agreement, and any addenda thereto.
The vendor awarded this contract will be required to offer a complete line of products to support all mandatory requirements listed in this IFB.

Work Details
The Vendor is required to be an authorized Microsoft VAR with a minimum of three years' experience as a VAR for Higher Education and have managed a minimum of two Framework or Consortia Agreements within the past three years. The Reseller shall provide a minimum of three Higher Education references including agency/campus, address, contact name, and phone numbers. Additionally, Reseller shall provide a minimum of two Framework or Consortia references including agency/campus, address, contact name, and phone numbers.
The Vendor must list a primary and two secondary persons who are readily available for questions that may be asked by any Constituent Institution or Affiliate. Vendor must meet additional requirements such as working closely with each participating Constituent Institution or Affiliate to ensure required documentation is in place when needed.

Period of Performance
A contract awarded pursuant to this IFB/RFQ shall have an effective date as provided in the Notice of Award. The term shall be two years and will expire upon the anniversary date of the effective date unless otherwise stated in the Notice of Award, or unless terminated earlier. At the end of the contract’s current term, the State shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to renew the contract on the same terms and conditions for up to a total of three additional one-year terms.

The University may contact these references to determine if the Services provided are substantially similar in scope to those proposed herein and Vendor’s performance has been satisfactory.
