Background
The City of Greenville, NC, Public Works Department’s Public Transportation Division (GREAT) is seeking proposals for a Microtransit Shared Ride Software Solution to introduce on-demand public transit through a shared-ride microtransit service model. GREAT operates a mass transit bus system serving the greater Greenville area and aims to enhance its services by incorporating microtransit.

The pilot program will initially operate in the area currently served by Route 4 bus, with plans for future expansion based on the pilot's success.

Work Details
The contract involves providing a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that includes:
1. **Rider App**: Intuitive design with accessibility features, multiple payment options, and support for both on-demand and pre-scheduled trips.
2. **Integrated Transit**: Visibility of local bus stops, fixed route trip proposals alongside on-demand options, and intermodal trip proposals.
3. **Driver Application**: Routing based on mapping software with traffic considerations and multi-channel communications to riders.
4. **Dispatch Center**: A single view into all demand response services with intuitive booking capabilities.
5. **Trip Routing Rules**: Enable various service types (door-to-door, corner-to-corner) with customizable parameters based on location and time.
6. **Reporting and Audit Support**: Analytics dashboards, raw data exports, and automated reporting for the National Transit Database (NTD).
7. **Fares & Pricing**: Support for various pricing models including flat fare, distance-based fare, promotional pricing options, and fare options for unbanked individuals.
8. **Integrations**: APIs for third-party applications related to transit planning and fare integration.
9. **Planning and Support Services**: Marketing support, community engagement assistance, customer success management, technical support, ongoing service design recommendations, and funding support including grant writing assistance.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon selection of a vendor and is expected to include three years of service with an option to extend for up to three additional years in one-year increments.

The services will be performed in Greenville, North Carolina.
