Request for Bids: Small Equipment for School Cafeterias

Background
The Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) is the largest school district in North Carolina and the fifteenth largest in the United States, serving over 160,000 students across various educational institutions.

The Child Nutrition Services (CNS) department provides approximately 52,000 reimbursable lunches and 21,000 reimbursable breakfasts daily. This solicitation seeks bids for equipping seven new school cafeterias with small equipment items as part of a re-bid process.

Work Details
Bidders must provide quotes for small equipment items listed in the attached pricing proposal found on pages 42-49 of the solicitation document. Each quote must include the brand, manufacturer's product code, and unit price based on direct shipment to the designated location.

All freight and unloading charges must be included in the bid price. The contract will establish a maximum price WCPSS CNS will pay for any item covered during the contract term. Bidders are required to submit documentation for any substitute models they propose, including specifications and drawings for comparison.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from the award date through April 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Deliveries will be made to the Child Nutrition Services Warehouse located at Building F, Door A, 1551 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be licensed and approved to do business in North Carolina and provide sufficient qualified personnel for timely project execution.

They must not be listed on either the State of North Carolina or Federal Government debarred vendor registries. Insurance requirements as well as compliance with federal, state, and local regulations are mandatory. The awarded dealer must have at least one year of experience in commercial sales of food service small equipment.
