Remove and Replace Dugouts at Havelock Parks and Recreation Facility

Background
The City of Havelock, located in North Carolina, is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of multiple dugouts at the Parks and Recreation Facility. This project aims to enhance the facility's infrastructure to better serve the community's recreational needs.

Work Details
The contract involves the complete demolition and replacement of eight existing dugouts. Each dugout is to be replaced with prefabricated metal kits measuring 8’ wide and 20’ long, with specific height and roofing specifications. The work includes:

- Demolishing existing concrete block structures and roofs
- Removing all debris
- Installing new concrete pads
- Constructing new dugouts with benches and fencing
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

The dugouts must meet specific wind speed ratings and quality standards equivalent to Beacon Athletics Southern Climate series model number DUG-8-20. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, and any necessary permits.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract is 90 calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP). Work hours are specified as Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, excluding City holidays.

The work will be performed at the Parks and Recreation Facility located at 1 Recreation Dr., Havelock, NC 28532.
